Welcome to the UAPS Website … the network of African Population Scientists and Experts
The Union for African Population Studies (UAPS) is a pan-African not-for-profit organization established in 1984 to promote the scientific study of population and the application of research evidence in development planning in Africa. With a membership of more than 1,500 professionals, UAPS is the only population-focused organization that represents all regions of Africa, bridging linguistic and geographical barriers to foster networking and knowledge sharing, and learning across the continent. UAPS encourages collaboration among researchers from multiple disciplines, and facilitates dialogue between researchers and policy makers and programme implementers who need reliable evidence to underpin their work. |
