Dr Yselle Malah Kuete is a Cameroonian development economist and researcher at the University of Yaoundé II. Her work focuses, among other themes, on structural transformation, gender equity, and education policy in Sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Dschang. Over the past five years, she has served as a consultant for international organizations, including the World Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), and the African Union (AU). She has also led impactful research projects on African development, supported by the Africa Fellows in Education Program (AFEP), the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). She has been a visiting researcher at institutions such as the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER), the Centre d’Études et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI), the Research on Socio-Economic Policy (RESEP), and the Nordic Africa Institute (NAI). She is the author of several peer-reviewed publications in respected academic journals.
