Adeola Oyewole is currently enrolled at the doctoral school of sociology, HSE University, Moscow Russia. Her doctoral research focuses on the underrepresentation of women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Nigerian higher education institutions. Adeola has a strong desire to gain specialist skills to work in research in the fields of gender and education in the context of Africa’s development. Her keen interest in policy-impacting research influenced her internship role at the International Laboratory of Social Integration Research at HSE University. Adeola also facilitates community development projects that is targeted at the implementation of the sustainable development goals especially quality education and gender equality in Nigeria.
