Dr. Jamaica Corker is a demographer with over fifteen years of experience in global demographic research and the implementation of family planning and reproductive health programs. Her work bridges research and practice, with a focus on fertility trends, contraceptive use, urbanization, and the integration of demographic data with GIS. She has led and supported health research and programming efforts across sub-Saharan Africa, including roles with the Gates Foundation, PSI in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the WHO and CDC during the West African Ebola response. Dr. Corker previously served on the IUSSP Scientific Panel on Contraceptive Transition Theories. She holds an MSc in Population and Development from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania.
