Souaréba Pabamé is a committed young sociologist with a strong interest in gender issues and humanitarian action. After completing her early education in Chad, she pursued higher studies at the University of Yaoundé I in Cameroon, earning a degree in Sociology (Population and Development) and a Master’s in Gender and Development, with a focus on humanitarian action and gender-based violence. Her academic training, combined with field research on breast ironing practices in 2024, has deepened her commitment to combating gender-based violence and promoting women’s empowerment in African contexts. Known for her optimism, resilience, and teamwork, Souaréba is passionate about contributing to a more inclusive and just society.
