Dr Philippe Kabore is an assistant professor of economics at Université du Québec à Rimouski (Canada) in the department of management. His research focuses on the intersection of labor economics, economy policy and environmental economics, with interests in climate change mitigation, natural resources management, natural disasters, and the economics of environmental regulation. His work aims to unveil the uncounted costs of climate change and natural disasters on individuals and firms.

Dr Philippe Kabore combines theoretical modeling with empirical analysis to explore how policy instruments such as carbon pricing, conservation subsidies, and regulatory frameworks affect firm behavior, household decisions, and ecosystem outcomes. His ongoing projects examine the distributional effects of natural disasters on cities finance, and the impact of high level of debt on fishery and biodiversity conservation.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from University of Ottawa (Canada) and his work has been published in journals such as Environmental and Resource Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics, and Journal of Business Cycle Research. Dr Philippe Kabore is also actively engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations aimed at integrating economic insights into environmental governance.
